CVE Alliance Francophone Pétanque Season Kicks Off with Milestone Anniversaries

The 2024-2025 pétanque season for members of the CVE Alliance Francophone is underway, marking a year of significant celebrations. This season coincides with the 50th anniversary of Century Village East and the 30th anniversary of the CVE Alliance Francophone, making it an especially momentous time for the community.

Despite ongoing renovations at the Clubhouse swimming pool near the pétanque courts, CenClub has taken precautions to ensure the safety of players and maintain the courts in excellent condition. The Alliance Francophone expressed its gratitude for these efforts, which have allowed the games to proceed smoothly.

Players gather for friendly pétanque matches from Monday to Friday, with sessions held in the morning at 9:30 a.m. and in the evening at 7 p.m. The season will also feature four official tournaments. The first tournament, the Dulude - Desautels Tournament, will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024. This will be followed by the Philip Raymond Tournament on Monday, January 6, 2025, the Conrad Thurber Tournament on Monday, February 3, 2025, and the Christian Côté Tournament on Monday, March 3, 2025.

These events are sure to bring together players and spectators alike in celebration of camaraderie, skill, and the enduring spirit of the CVE Alliance Francophone.
