Didi Lacroix, President - CVE Tennis Club

On Sunday, December 17th, from 9:00am to 11:30am, we will be holding our first seasonal DIVAS and A-MEN’s tournaments at the Clubhouse and Richmond Courts. All CVE residents are encouraged to come and cheer on some of our best male and female tennis players. We promise to entertain you, and players love having a crowd!

This season alone, our club is holding a total of 13 different tournaments as well as a delicious barbecue, a health-talk on back pain among active older adults, and a health-talk workshop on injury-prevention exercises for tennis players. With 23 morning teams, two in the afternoon, and one in the evening, we have something to offer to everyone at Century Village East, whether you are a beginner or an accomplished player.

Our members may now benefit from exclusive discounts on tennis apparel, shoes, bags, Prince rackets, and court equipment. And thanks to our generous sponsors, members taking part in our events and tournaments are now entitled to some generous prizes and raffles, including tennis bags, tennis rackets, Delray Open tickets, an HD television, many gift certificates, and much more.

Don’t miss out on our club’s delicious Welcome Back Barbecue on Wednesday, January 17th, from noon to 3:00pm at Quiet Waters Park, under the Bald Eagle Shelter. This is open to pre-registered members and guests who will also enjoy hearing and dancing to the sound of a DJ and live artists.

Based on popular demand, our January Health-Talk will welcome all CVE residents and cover the infamous topic of Back Pain Among Active Older Adults. This event will host our guest speaker, Trevor Meyerowitz, owner of Preferred Physical Therapy in Deerfield Beach. It is scheduled at Le Club Theater on Wednesday, January 24th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Finally, on Sunday, January 28, 10:00am to noon, on the Activity Center / Tilford tennis courts, all CVE residents are welcome to watch some thrilling matches between pros as well as pros with and against some of our club members. Bring your chair, water, a hat, and sunscreen! It’s fun and it’s free!

Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, and very best wishes for this world to return to a more loving and peaceful time!
