Village collects Toys for Tots

For the entire month of November, both CenClub and CVE Master Management are collecting toys for the Toys for Tots program.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. It was founded in 1947 by reservist Major Bill Hendricks.

The mission of the program is "to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas." The stated goal is to "deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens."

Last year, residents donated almost 450 toys, according to CenClub.

Drop off your new, unwrapped toy before December 2nd at the offices of either organization.
