I know, I know, who can afford macadamia nuts? But this cookie… I happened to get a pound of beautiful fresh macadamias as a gift and I used a cup of them to whip up this recipe that’s been bothering me since I discovered it. As usual, I tweaked the original recipe just a tad, adding the orange zest and chopping the white chips. Next time, I will add just ½ teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla. Art Expo 2026 was held March 6 through March 8 at the Century Village East Clubhouse in Deerfield Beach, drawing several thousand attendees and featuring several hundred artists. The event marked the 46th edition of the Expo. This year’s event was expanded to three full days and included a silent auction. The original recipe for this big chewy cookie called for chocolate-covered toffee bits, which I tried and the cookies were great, but not incredible. The next time, I didn’t have the chocolate version, so I switched to plain toffee bits for the chocolate called for in the recipe. Wow! Talk about a great mistake!
