We extend an invitation to you to come to Visit your CVE Clubhouse Library and borrow some of our 5,000+ books, read the New York Times, look at boutique items or art pieces on sale and become a Friend of the Library. Our library is located across the hall from the Billiard room next to the Art Studio. The library is open Monday through Thursday 10 am to 2 pm and will be closed Monday, February 19th for President’s Day.
A three-dollar annual donation will allow you to become a Friend of the Library. As a Friend you may borrow our newest books, from the Reserved Circulation (Regular and Large Print Books), for 14 or 28 days, as noted on the book’s cover. Kindly check your Friend renewal, when next in the library.
Are you wait listed for a book you want to read at the Public Library? People have come into the CVE Library and found books they’re wait listed for elsewhere in our holdings.
Friends may use the Reserved Circulation wait list. You will be queued into the next borrow slot. Upon the return of that wait listed reserved book, we will call the next friend on the list to inform them that their wait listed Reserved Circulation Book has been returned. We will hold the book for one week.
The library has newspapers, including: The New York Times and Wall Street Journal for reading in the Library.
Artwork remains on 50% Off the Sticker Price in the Library. Please ask a Library volunteer. We are constantly receiving art donations so come again to look.
Because of your donations, the Library Boutique frequently has new items available for purchase. As mentioned, the Boutique and Art receipts fund the purchase of new Library books. Come visit and see what the Library has to offer. While not a Thrift Store, the Boutique items are mostly used items and at a greatly reduced price. Why not become one or our weekly Boutique visitors.
Volunteers, both year-round and snowbird owners are always welcome. Library volunteers will train and support you for a two hour shift. The library gladly accepts artwork of any media and boutique items, as well as fiction books written in the last ten years and non-fiction books in good condition
