Welcome to CVE Library, located across form the billiard room on the lower level of the Clubhouse. The CVE Library (Library) HOURS: Open 10 am to 2 pm Monday through Thursday. The Library is CLOSED: Thursday, November 23rd – Thanksgiving Day. When the Library is closed, kindly use the Book Deposit bin to the left of the CVE Library entrance
Art Sale: The Library Art Sale continues. 50% will be taken off of the sticker price on all artwork available for purchase. The discount will be taken at the desk. All proceeds from the Art Sale and The Boutique are used to purchase new books. The Library orders Regular Print as well as Large Print books. Large Print books are shelved in their own specific areas in the Library.
BOUTIQUE: Items that have been given to the Library, are available, for a donation. The Boutique has an ever-changing array of items including: Household items, Jewelry, puzzles, calendars, cards, some of which have been hand painted by a local CVE artist. There is $1 area and 50% off area in the Boutique area are available for those looking for a bargain.
BOOKs, DVDs &, CDs: Are available for purchase at greatly discounted prices or in groups of Five. Sale items are located in aisles One, Two and TEN
RESERVED CIRCULATION: By becoming a Friend of the Library ($3 Annual Donation), you may borrow the newest books in our library. They may be borrowed for 14 or 28 days. The Reserved Circulation has a wait list that Friends may use.
REGULAR CIRCULATION is available to all CVE Residents. This is a 28 day borrow.
Newspapers: In addition to Books the Library also has newspapers for reading IN the Library. In addition to Local papers we have The New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
VOLUNTEER: We are pleased that we are gaining our new volunteers to our Library Squad. Volunteers allow the Library to be open for our Residents. We are always in need of more assistance. We will train and support you. You will work a 2 hour shift with at least one other volunteer. Shifts are 10 am to 12 pm OR 12 pm to 2 pm. Kindly leave your name and contact information and the CVE Library and President, Ruth Schroeder will contact you.
The Library gratefully accepts donations of: Artwork, Fiction books published within the last 10 years; Non-fiction books in good shape.
Again, you may use the book drop box to leave books, when the Library is closed.
