In our prior article, we stressed the need for elected leaders in Century Village East who prioritize civic engagement, informed decision-making, and community sustainability. We urged Owners to consider running for open positions on the CenClub Board, Master Management Board, and COOCVE Officers. As the candidate application submission period closes on November 9th, let's explore the next steps in the election process.
The deadline to submit your candidate application form is 3:00 p.m. on November 9, 2023. All CVE Owners are eligible to apply.
Forms are available at the CVE Master Management, COOCVE, and Clubhouse offices, or online at www.coocve.com.
The 2024 elections will take place from January 9 to 12, 2024, with results set to be announced at the COOCVE Board of Directors Meeting on January 16, 2024.
COOCVE Directors representing all 253 Associations, either elected during associations annual meetings or appointed by association presidents in case of vacancies, hold voting rights. It's important to note that the 2023 COOCVE directors will participate in the 2024 elections.
Association presidents seeking to modify or add a voting COOCVE director or alternate should submit an updated Officer and Director (O&D) form to coocve@coocve.com or the COOCVE Office by Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
A candidate forum is scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. The specific format of this meeting will be determined by the number of candidates participating, and additional information about the forum will be featured in the December issue of the CVE Reporter. This forum offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to observe and listen to the candidates.
The 2024 elections run from January 9 to 12, 2024. COOCVE Directors with email addresses will vote electronically via computers, laptops, or mobile devices. Directors without email addresses will have the option to vote in-person during the same voting period.
