The CVE Tennis Club is thrilled to announce that assignments for our 16 tennis courts have now been posted online and at each of the tennis court venues throughout Century Village for all 24 teams. Each team has a unique profile to accommodate the diverse skills and interests of our 450 resident members. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, there's a team for everyone—male, female, or mixed. Some teams focus on competitive play, while others offer a more social experience. Team play occurs each morning, while social groups enjoy afternoons on the courts. Non-club members can also reserve play times by contacting the CenClub Staff Office.
The new season, which began on October 28, 2024, promises to be an exciting, 26-week journey filled with fun and camaraderie. “This promises to be another very exciting and fun-filled season for our new and returning members,” says Club President Didi Lacroix.
Beyond regular team play, club members will have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities, including themed social games, men’s and women’s tournaments, a season-long men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles ladder tournament, an off-site catered barbecue, a Tennis-Pro Exhibition, a group trip to the Miami Open, a health talk by a medical professional, and an end-of-season party featuring prizes and raffles (check out the “Events” tab in our menu at www.cvetennis.com).
The leadership team for the 2024 season includes President Didi Lacroix, Vice President Vicki Dosso, Treasurer Frank O’Mara, Secretary Alain Levesque, and Directors Simon Lapointe, Peter Silbermann, and Mel Weinzimer.
CVE’s Tennis Pro, Ron Perry, will continue to hold morning clinics on weekdays at the Clubhouse courts, catering to all levels of play. For information on these clinics or to request private lessons, visit the club’s website, pick up a tennis clinic schedule at the Clubhouse Staff Office, or contact Ron directly at rmperry16@gmail.com.
If you’re a CVE resident interested in playing tennis, the CVE Tennis Club has plenty to offer players of all levels. You’ll have opportunities to socialize, improve your game, and make new friends. To become a member or request more information, contact Didi Lacroix at didifit@gmail.com, or simply fill out our online membership form at www.cvetennis.com.
Remember, tennis is a “LOVE” game!
