Italian American Club Annual Picnic

Lori Benoit

On Wednesday, January 17th, the CVE Italian American Club held its annual free picnic for members and their guests at the shuffleboard courts.

Nearly 60 people attended.  It was the best picnic ever. Volunteers got the grills going and much food was shared and enjoyed.

We played corn hole, had a balloon race, an egg toss game and Jenga. Many played shuffleboard all day. The 50/50 raffle collected $220 and the lucky winner, Mike Burdman, won $110. The weather cooperated, was comfortably cool and the sun came out in the afternoon just in time for the games.

Patrick, the Italian Ice Man showed up and everyone enjoyed various flavors.

Thank you to all the volunteers who worked to make this event a success. Without them, our members, and guests, it could not have happened. We look forward to next year.
