We recently decided to go on an extended summer break. Rather than go down with the ship, we decided to test the water by presenting a special summer break class in July that turned out to be successful.
In our August meeting, participants learned about the pros and cons of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and discussed how it is integrated into the Google Gemini, Microsoft CoPilot, and ChatGPT tools. Some participants showed and told us about the latest assistive technology devices, such as types of hearing aids and Meta camera glasses to help those with sight disabilities. Apple users learned about how to get all kinds of information about their phones from the Apple Support app, check their mental state, and more.
In our September Zoom meeting we plan to have special guests who will present the latest news from the Apple event introducing iOS26 and supported products, and an update on Cybersecurity, AI integration and tools, and more.
We continue to explore the possibilities of continuing virtual classes or returning to rent-free live classes in easily accessible locations. The best way to keep your learning skills and your mind sharp as you age is to Practice, Practice, Practice! what you have learned. Review your class notes and our YouTube videos, and keep checking our updated and dynamic Club site at https://www.db-cc.net for the latest member news and updates. For more information about joining the Club, contact Membership Director and CVE resident Pete Zambito at 954-941-4870 or send an email to PeteZambito@bellsouth.net. Thanks for your continued support.
Stay safe and well. and the Board of Directors.
