Brewing Success: Italian American Club Kicks Off with a Record Turnout and Perks for All
Thanks to Lori Benoit for providing the information for this story
The first meeting of the CVE Italian American Club, held on Monday, October 14, 2024, was a huge success. A total of 87 people signed up, surpassing last year's number.
Vice President Regina Vicario conducted the meeting in President Joe Poma’s absence; he will be down in November. Regina went over the schedule of activities, answering many questions.
The 50/50 raffle collected $310, giving Raisa Lebedeau (a club newbie) a nice $155 prize. Thanks to Sylvia Charette for collecting the funds.
The door prize, a French press coffee maker, was won by Susan Sanborn. Thanks to Judy Olmstead for distributing the tickets.
Special thanks also to Tom Mauro for volunteering as Sergeant-at-Arms in place of Joe Wamness, who won’t be down until January, to Gloria Olmstead for assisting with membership signups, and to Tina Mauro, our "donut lady."
The November meeting will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, and event signups will begin. Remember, you must be a member and sign up in person for those events that have size restrictions.
Thank you all for making this an outstanding meeting, and we look forward to seeing you in November.
