Canadian Club visits Railway Museum
CVE Reporter

A group of Canadian Club members recently enjoyed a fascinating visit to the South Florida Railway Museum, where they saw a variety of miniature trains, and even got to operate some of them. This intricate and fully electronic network is a far cry from the 20th century model trains of our youth. Several genial and knowledgeable volunteers demonstrated and explained how it all works. All in all, this was a treat for the inner child in all of us.
The South Florida Railway Museum, 1300 W. Hillsboro, is set in a 1926 station adjacent to the Tri-Rail station. It is open to the public 11:00-4:00 the second Saturday of the month. Private group tours are available by appointment.
