CVE Choraleers Welcome Fresh Talent and New Voices

Thanks to Carol Oshinsky for providing the information for this story

The CVE Choraleers are excited to kick off their 51st year with a new music director, Robert Todd, and a new pianist, Stephanie Colman. As the group embarks on this fresh chapter, they’re inviting all residents “who love to sing” to try out for the choir.

Rehearsals begin on November 20 and will be held every Wednesday in the CVE Clubhouse Party Room from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., running through early March. The season will culminate in the Choraleers' annual musical showcase on the evening of Thursday, March 6, where the choir and soloists will perform a mix of popular classics and nostalgic hits.

Robert Todd, the new music director, brings a distinguished background as a music educator and conductor. Named Florida Music Educator of the Year in 2015, Todd has taught in Broward County for years and coordinated the All-State Elementary Chorus. "Making music together creates bonds," he says, expressing his hope to deepen those connections and instill pride in each performance.

Stephanie Colman joins as the new pianist, bringing her own celebrated 40-year career in Florida music education and performance. Also a percussionist, she currently performs with the Broward Symphony and New River orchestras. "I’m thrilled to join the Choraleers and inspire a love of performance in all of our members," says Colman.

President Carole Oshinsky welcomes all interested singers, saying, “We’re a dedicated group of men and women who come together each week because we simply love to sing. If that’s you, come on down and try us out!” Membership for the season is $50. For more information, contact Tina at 310-990-6762 or email cvechoraleers@gmail.com.
