CVE Italian American Club Kicks Off November with Record Attendance and Exciting Plans

Once again, the November meeting of the CVE Italian American Club, held on Monday, November 11, 2024, exceeded expectations. There were 91 sign-ins, with many attendees signing up for the season's events.

Club President Joe Poma returned to conduct the meeting, thanking everyone for their attendance, continued support of the club, and special thanks to the volunteers who signed up to help with the events. He explained that you do not need to be present at a meeting to become a member, as long as the person obtaining your membership card is a current member and has a completed form along with the $10 annual fee.

Regarding sign-ups for the three bus trips (Jungle Queen, Lips, and Gulfstream), attendees must be current members and present at a meeting to sign up (with the exception of spouses). To accommodate those returning later in the season, a second bus may be added for each trip, with a limit of two buses per trip. If seats remain available, the event will then be opened to guests.

Joan Gall won $140 in the 50/50 raffle, and Larry Abbagliuo won the door prize. Larry also donated an Italian flag, which will now stand alongside the American flag at all meetings. Pictured left to right: Regina Vicario, Vice President; Larry Abbagliuo; and Joe Poma, President.

Before adjourning, and in honor of Veteran's Day, Joe thanked all attending veterans for their service. He also wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

See you at the next meeting on Monday, December 9, 2024!
