The pickleball courts at Century Village East were alive with excitement on September 27th as players from CVE faced off against Century Village Boca in a spirited inter-village tournament. With more than 50 players competing, the day was filled with fast-paced rallies, dramatic tie-breaks, and a strong sense of camaraderie among residents.

CVE emerged as the clear winner, finishing with the highest overall score and several undefeated teams. Their impressive showing underscored the growing popularity of pickleball within the community and the skill level of its players.

After the preliminary rounds, the top two teams from each village advanced to the finals. In the championship match, Joy and Pete delivered a standout performance, combining smart strategy and steady play to claim the top title.

Following the competition, players gathered poolside to celebrate the event’s success with food and friendship. Jersey Mike’s provided complimentary ham and turkey subs for participants and supporters.

The tournament also raised $300 for the March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network, a donation that will be matched by CenClub, bringing the total contribution to $600. Organizers called the event a win for both competition and community, setting the stage for what many hopewill become an annual tradition.
