The City of Deerfield Beach has added new Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations at the Bernard Adams Municipal Complex, located at 401 SW 4th St., as part of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and modernize local infrastructure.
City officials said the new charging stations are designed to provide added convenience for residents and visitors while supporting environmentally friendly transportation options.
The charging units are located near several community amenities, allowing drivers to take advantage of nearby activities while their vehicles charge. Residents can visit the Recycling Drop-Off Center located on site, explore the DFBee Apiary focused on pollinator education, or walk to the nearby Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, which includes the Johnny L. Tigner Center and a public playground.
According to the city, the project is part of a broader initiative to upgrade public facilities and accommodate the needs of a growing community while continuing to invest in sustainability efforts.
