The annual CVE Free Throw Basketball Contest took place on Thursday, March 12, at the community’s new half-court, drawing 17 participants for a spirited competition.

Each player stepped to the foul line for 10 shots, with the top scorers advancing in a close contest for the gold medal. The competition ended in a tie between Pat and Mac, setting up a tiebreaker round. Pat secured first place by sinking three of five additional shots, earning the gold medal, while Mac took home silver. Mike finished third to claim the bronze.

In addition to medals, cash prizes were awarded to the top three finishers. Residents and supporters gathered courtside to cheer on the players, adding to the energy of the event.

The contest highlighted both friendly competition and community spirit, making it another successful outing at the new basketball facility.
