Invasive Fish in Century Village

There are many varieties of invasive (non-native) fish in Florida. Among them is the Bullseye Snakehead. The waterways in Century Village are connected to the local canal system where snakeheads are common. Frequent anglers in CVE have likely run into these toothy fish. As you can see in the picture, they get pretty big. Snakeheads eat other fish including our native sport fish such as bass, and they also eat ducklings. Sportsmen like Charles Bryant of Durham B catch and release native bass, while doing their best to eliminate as many snakeheads as possible. And snakeheads are very tasty too! There are many recipes online for anyone interested.
