Temple B’nai Shalom Prepares for High Holiday Services

Temple B’nai Shalom is preparing for its annual High Holiday celebration this month at the Activity Center, with services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur open to both temple members and the community.
Services will once again be led by Cantor Mitchell Martin, whose spiritual and meaningful services were extremely well received by those who attended last year.
High Holiday tickets are free for Temple B’nai Shalom members and are available to the public for $118 per person. One ticket includes admission to both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Services will also be available via Zoom for paid members and ticket holders.
Rosh Hashanah services begin Friday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. with the evening service. The first-day service will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m., followed by the second-day service Sunday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. Tashlich will take place at the West Drive canal following Sunday’s service. Because the shofar is not blown on Shabbat, it will be sounded during Sunday’s service.
Yom Kippur observances begin with Kol Nidre on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Services continue Monday, Sept. 21, with the morning service at 10 a.m. and the afternoon service at 3:30 p.m., including Yizkor, Neilah and the blowing of the shofar.
