Residents are invited to gather for an evening of reflection and community connection at a National Day of Prayer ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Villages of Hillsboro Park, located at 4111 NW 6th St.

The event is open to the public and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and generations to participate in a shared moment of prayer, gratitude, and inspiration. Organizers say the ceremony is intended to provide a peaceful setting for reflection while fostering a sense of unity among community members.

This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” is drawn from 1 Chronicles 16 and emphasizes the importance of faith, gratitude, and connection across generations.

The program will feature local faith leaders offering prayers and reflections, with a focus on bringing the community together through shared values and mutual respect.

The event is free to attend, and residents are encouraged to bring family and friends or simply come on their own to take part in the evening.
