The Deerfield Beach Historical Society is inviting residents and visitors to take a walk throughtime at the Butler Bash Historical Block Party, a festive community event celebrating a full century of Deerfield Beach history. The celebration will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 380 East Hillsboro Boulevard—home to some of the city’s most cherished historic landmarks.

This special event marks 100 years since the founding of Deerfield Beach and offers a fun and educational day for families, history enthusiasts, and longtime locals alike. The Historical Society has planned a celebration that honors the city’s roots while bringing the community together in a lively and meaningful way.

Throughout the day, guests will be invited to tour several historical sites, including the Pioneer Cottage, the Seaboard Caboose, the Mid-Century Museum & Cultural Center, the Historic Butler House, and the Old School House, which features a recreated 1920s classroom. These locations offer a glimpse into Deerfield Beach’s evolution from a quiet farming village to a dynamic coastal city rich in culture and community pride.

The event will also feature nostalgic snacks and refreshments available for purchase, adding a taste of the past to the day’s festivities. Children can enjoy a special historical scavenger hunt designed to help them discover fun facts and hidden treasures throughout the event. Raffle baskets filled with exciting prizes will be up for grabs, and live music will create an energetic and celebratory atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
