Free rides to and from Deerfield’s downtown

The Deerfield Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (DBCRA) has partnered with Freebee to offer a free, on-demand transportation service using 100% electric vehicles. This service is designed to connect residents and visitors to local businesses within the CRA District.

The rideshare program provides free, on-demand rides in electric-powered Tesla vehicles. It will pick up residents inside the Village, and transport them to businesses along Hillsboro Boulevard east of U.S. 1, as well as to beachside restaurants. Riders can also request a return trip, all free of charge. However, the service will not transport riders from the Cove to the beach.

Operating from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, all rides are subject to availability and must be booked through the Freebee app.

In addition, businesses within the CRA District can advertise through the Freebee app, offering special promotions to riders to attract customers. This initiative aims to support local businesses while providing an eco-friendly and convenient transportation option for the community.
