Harriet Drandoff, a longtime resident of Century Village East, passed away last month. She was deeply involved in village life and devoted many years to serving her community.
Harriet had been an Area Chair for Upminster since becoming a full-time resident in 2015 and was elected several times by her fellow Area Chairs to serve as Chair of the Chairs, a position that was part of the Executive Committee of COOCVE. She also served on the Board of Directors of the CVE Reporter and was its treasurer for several years.
She spent many hours in the COOCVE office listening to and assisting unit owners and condominium boards. Before moving to Century Village East, Harriet worked as a trusted officer at major money center banks, handling accounts for Fortune 500 companies and municipalities.
CVE Master Management Board of Directors President Eli Okun paid tribute to Harriet during the January Board meeting, saying she “will be missed by all.”
Harriet was also an active member of Young Israel of Deerfield Beach. She sought leadership roles to continue COOCVE’s work of educating and assisting residents and boards and will be remembered for her service, experience, and dedication to the Century Village East community.
