Deerfield Beach property owners now have a rare opportunity to clear outstanding code violations without facing the typical hurdles, thanks to the city’s newly launched 2025 Code Amnesty Program.
The limited-time initiative, announced this week, gives residents, businesses, and developers a way to resolve lingering building, zoning, and safety code infractions while avoiding the lengthy lien mitigation process. City officials say the program underscores Deerfield Beach’s commitment to fostering compliance, encouraging community growth, and providing a fair path to help property owners start fresh.
The Code Amnesty Program runs through September 3, 2025, and is open to anyone with an existing code violation. By participating, property owners agree to waive their rights to the current lien mitigation process, streamlining their cases and offering the potential for substantial reductions — or even elimination — of financial penalties.
City representatives highlight several advantages for those who take part. The application process has been simplified to make it easier to participate, and staff are available to assist applicants in bringing their properties into full compliance.
"This is a unique opportunity to move forward without the weight of old violations holding you back," the city said in a statement announcing the program.

City leaders hope the 2025 Code Amnesty Program will boost compliance efforts while also helping to improve the appearance, safety, and overall quality of life across Deerfield Beach.
