Salsa y Sonrisas Social Club brought CVE residents and guests together Aug. 2 for an evening of music, dancing and generosity that raised $2,650 for victims of the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

Held at Le Club, the fundraiser combined an evening of entertainment with an opportunity to help those affected by the disaster. Organizers said the strong turnout and generosity demonstrated the community’s willingness to come together to support people facing hardship thousands of miles away.

All of the money raised during the event was donated to Global Empowerment Mission, which provides humanitarian assistance to communities affected by disasters and other crises.

Organizers extended special thanks to DJ Aldi, who donated his time and talent to provide music for the evening, as well as Maria for her continued assistance and support. Ana was recognized for creating the decorations that transformed Le Club for the event.

Hilda, Mimi, Susan and Tito were also thanked for donating their time, support and resources to help make the fundraiser possible.

Salsa y Sonrisas expressed its appreciation to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered or participated in the event. Organizers said the evening demonstrated how music and friendship can bring people together while turning the community’s compassion into meaningful assistance for those in need.

The fundraiser was part of a broader charitable effort to unite communities in responding to crises and providing assistance to people in need.
