Blanche Weinberg, a CVE resident for more than 25 years, died peacefully on June 27th, not long after her 101st birthday. Blanche was married for 26 years to her first husband, Paul Kahn, who was among the first violinists in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She was married to her second husband, Jerome Weinberg, for 30 years. After Jerome’s death, her final partner in life—as well as in bridge—was Sudhakar Bhatt, who passed away in their CVE condo in 2022. Blanche love

The Russian Matryoshka Club recently brought residents together for an evening celebrating Russian culture at Century Village East. This recipe caught my attention because as a child and still today, the combination of orange and creamy vanilla makes my mouth water. You know… orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream? Yes.
