The original recipe for this big chewy cookie called for chocolate-covered toffee bits, which I tried and the cookies were great, but not incredible. The next time, I didn’t have the chocolate version, so I switched to plain toffee bits for the chocolate called for in the recipe. Wow! Talk about a great mistake! Century Village East hosted its first Quarterback Throwing Contest on February 4, drawing 23 men and women for an afternoon of friendly competition and Super Bowl–week excitement. Each participant was given 10 throws at a designated target, testing both accuracy and arm strength. After a spirited contest, Pat claimed first place, followed by Jose in second and Brian in third. Organizers credited the event’s success to the many volunteers who helped coordinate and run the comp
