Belly Dance Club gathers at gazebo and announces May Shimmy Mob event

The CVE Belly Dance Club, along with members of the Shimmy Mob Team and residents, gathered at the Gazebo on March 10 for an afternoon of improvisational dancing to Middle Eastern music.
The group also performed a choreographed dance to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” led by Shimmy Mob member Susan, and a salsa-inspired belly dance to “Baila, Baila Conmigo.”
The Shimmy Mob Team, sponsored by the CVE Belly Dance Club, will hold its annual event on Saturday, May 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Le Club in the main theatre. The event is free, with donations accepted to benefit Women in Distress of Broward County.
Shimmy Mob raises awareness of abuse and domestic violence.
