The final meeting of the season for the CVE Italian American Club took place on Monday, March 10, 2025, with approximately 35 members in attendance. The guest speaker, Stephen Wolfe, Owner and President of Trusted Law and Home Healthcare Services, delivered a highly informative presentation on revocable and irrevocable trusts and clarified the differences between Medicare and Medicaid. His talk sparked a lively Q&A session, with members eager to learn more.
Just a few weeks earlier, the Club hosted its popular Valentine’s Dance on February 12 at Deer Creek Country Club. As always, it was a night filled with great food, good music, and wonderful friends who dined, danced, and celebrated together. Anita Orlando was the lucky 50/50 raffle winner, taking home $230.
On February 22, the Club’s annual BBQ drew 75 members to the Alcove. Catered by Boca Joe's, the event featured a hearty feast with all the fixings and more than enough food to satisfy everyone. After dinner, those who lingered joined the Saturday Night Dance, capping off the evening with coffee and cookies courtesy of the Club. The 50/50 prize of $125 was won by Gina and Susan Weitzenkorn.
At the March meeting, Gene Charette took home $80 in the 50/50 drawing, and Linda Carr won the door prize.
There was no need for an election, as all Board positions for the 2025–2026 season were filled uncontested. The new Board is President Joe Poma, Vice President Patty Manzo, SecretaryLorenzo Cricchio, Treasurer Lori Benoit, Financial Secretary Susan Dove and Sergeant-at-Arms Tom Mauro.
While this was the last regular meeting of the season, two more exciting events remain: the Fashion Show on March 15 and the trip to LIPS on March 30.
Club President Joe Poma thanked the Board and all the volunteers who contributed to a successful and fun-filled season. He wished everyone a happy, healthy summer and shared that the Board will be working through the offseason to create a dynamic Schedule of Activities for 2025–2026. The meeting was then officially adjourned.
