Since the summer and fall of 2025, the CVE Quilt Club has been busy creating quilts from fabric generously donated by CVE residents. Recently, 25 quilts were donated to Project Linus, a nonprofit organization that provides handmade quilts to children and families in need. Additional donations included one quilt to the CVE Cancer Relay for Life, 12 quilts to Hospice of Boca Raton, and one quilt to the CVE Art Club for a raffle.

On February 7, 2026, the club made its first delivery of seven finished quilts to Women InDistress of Broward County. In the coming weeks, another 21 quilts will be delivered to the Children’s Home Society of Broward County, Broward Health Coral Springs, and JAFCO (Jewish Adoption & Foster Care Options).

The CVE Quilt Club is a year-round quilting and sewing club established in 2024. For many years, CVE residents used older model Singer machines in the open Sewing Room located on the third floor of the Clubhouse. In 2024, CenClub replaced those machines with six new state-of-the-art Brother sewing machines and two new Singer sewing machines, enhancing the experience for Quilt Club members as well as other CVE residents who use the facility.

Under the leadership of President Roseann Huddleston and Vice President Alice Santiago, the club has grown to more than 40 CVE resident members, including two male quilters.

The Quilt Club meets twice weekly on Monday and Thursday afternoons. Members work on individual projects, participate in workshops, and contribute to the creation of quilts for charitable causes. The club also offers a variety of quilting courses through the Staff Office.
