CVE Shimmy Mob Raises Funds for Women In Distress

The 2026 CVE Shimmy Mob Team of Deerfield Beach recently combined dance, community spirit and philanthropy during a special event benefiting Women In Distress of Broward County.
The event, held May 9, raised $485 in cash donations and an additional $210 in checks for the organization. Team members later delivered the donations in person on May 20 and alsoperformed for the organization as a gesture of appreciation and support.
The group extended special thanks to Linda and Jules Hochberg for their continued support in helping make the event a success. The team also thanked Deerfield Beach District 3 Commissioner Daniel Shanetzky for attending the event.
