The CVE Republican Club will host a meeting on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Le Club Activity Center, located at 3501 West Drive. Residents and friends are invited to attend, and refreshments will be provided following the meeting.

The featured speaker will be George Moraitis, who is running for U.S. Congress in Florida’s Congressional District 23. Moraitis previously served eight years in the Florida House of Representatives, where he worked to secure state funding for community needs, including beach renourishment and improvements to Port Everglades. He was also actively involved in efforts to reduce burdensome regulations affecting condominium homeowners and to protect the ability of local communities to govern themselves.

Moraitis is a partner with the law firm Moraitis, Karney, Moraitis, & Quailey. A Fort Lauderdale native, he graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School, the United States Naval Academy, and the University of Florida College of Law.

The mission of the CVE Republican Club is to inform residents about current issues and candidates that impact senior citizens and the broader Deerfield Beach community.

“Our goal is to inform and educate,” said Tina Klein, president of the CVE Republican Club and a Century Village East resident. “We want to learn and share information about the political landscape while creating a social atmosphere where neighbors can connect and build friendships.”

For more information, residents may contact Tina Klein at 310-990-6762.
