Italian American Club concludes season with final meeting and reports on recent trip

The CVE Italian American Club held its final meeting of the season on March 9, 2026.

The 50/50 raffle collected $140, with Angelo Vetro winning $70. Nancy Burdman won the door prize.

With no nominations from the floor, the current Board will remain in place for the 2026–2027 season: Joe Poma, President; Patty Manzo, Vice President; Nancy Burdman, Secretary; Lori Benoit, Treasurer; Regina Vicario, Financial Secretary; and Tom Mauro, Sergeant-at-Arms.

Guest speaker Stephen Wolfe of Trusted Law discussed the differences between trusts and wills and answered questions about estate planning and services offered by his company, including home healthcare.

The club also reported on a March 8 trip to Gulfstream Racetrack and Casino. The 50/50 raffle at the event collected $270, with Joanne LaBarbara winning $135.

Jerusalem Day Observance Planned at Century Village

Century Village East will host a Jerusalem Day observance on Thursday, May 14, with a program reflecting on the historical and religious significance of the city. The event will take place at 2:45 p.m. in the Clubhouse Party Room, with doors opening at 2:15 p.m. The program will include videos, music, remarks from rabbis, and greetings from invited guests, followed by refreshments.
