Las Banderas Club Brings Dance, Music, and Community Together

Natalia Gorbachincky

The Las Banderas Dancing and Music Club has become a vibrant space for celebrating Hispanic dance, music, and culture. Founded by Elizabeth Condon, Valentina Almaraz, and DJ Robert Valicenti, the club is dedicated to preserving traditional dance styles while fostering a welcoming environment for dancers of all levels.

Las Banderas offers an opportunity to explore a variety of Hispanic dance styles, including salsa, merengue, and bachata. Salsa, known for its fast-paced rhythm and intricate footwork, brings energy and excitement to the dance floor. Merengue, a lively dance from the Dominican Republic, is simple yet engaging, making it accessible to all. Bachata, with its romantic and sensual movements, blends bolero and son influences, offering a deeper emotional connection through dance.

With 68 active members, Las Banderas is more than just a dance club—it is a thriving community where friendships are built through social events and performances. The club meets at Le Club on the first Sunday of each month from 5 PM to 8 PM, welcoming anyone interested in experiencing the joy of movement and cultural expression.
