Tech Tips and Holiday Ideas From The Geeks On Tour

The Deerfield Beach Computer Club, is a non-profit (501) (c) (3) tax-exempt educational organization of Seniors that meets on one Friday each month from 10:00am - 11:30am. Our ongoing mission is to offer opportunities for participants to get answers to their computing and technology questions from our high-quality in-house and guest speakers. Participant feedback has been extremely positive which shows that we have met the needs of those using a wide range of Apple and Android devices, including but not limited to phones, tablets, laptops, computers, and Chromebooks.

In November, the dynamic duo of Jim and Chris Guld, known internationally as the Geeks on Tour, presented a hodgepodge of their Tech Tips and Holiday Ideas with a dynamic Q&A session. We learned how to use the Panoramic Photo Mode on an iPhone and Android phone, locate the phone setting that allows or prevents the home screen from rotating, how to make personalized Christmas cards using the free version of Canva, order photo gifts like coffee mugs and T Shirts, and how to make an instant gift movie and a special gift photo book using Google Photos. To check out the video for this class and all other ones we have done, simply click or tap on the YouTube icon in the top right corner of our Home Page to access the Class Video playlist containing all our recorded sessions from 2013 to the present.  Please leave a comment below the video to let our speakers know how much you appreciate them and want them to return!

Looking ahead, we plan to explore trending topics including Windows 10 and 11, Streaming Services, Robotics, Safe and Secure Shopping Tips, Assistive Technology and many more, they will cater to all types of users regardless of their age, expertise and level of experience. Our goal is to promote Club growth through active participation and sharing knowledge and experiences.
